1. A Chinese Odyssey 《大话西游》is a movie based on the Chinese classic “A Journey to the West”. There has been many film and tv adaptations of the book. The movie mentioned in this novel is divided into two parts, hence the “unfinished part” in the blurb.
2. The word for “memories” in Chinese is 记忆 (jìyì), which is pronounced similarly to the name of the female lead 纪忆 (Jí Yì).
